I try to make it to the top, but I always get pulled back.
It’s like I’m climbing up a mountain, and some guy throws a
rock at me, so I fall and get back up and climb again –
only to have him throw another rock at me.
I fall back down again.
I am determined that maybe the guy won’t throw the rock
at me this time, so I get up and start climbing again.
I’m wrong! The guy still throws the rock!
I think about giving up and ask myself:
“Is it worth trying to climb that mountain again?”
My life is like that – like trying to climb the mountain.
Every time I start off climbing to reach my goal,
someone says: “You need to work harder!”
Then, I do work harder, but then they tell me:
“That’s not good enough!”
The person who keeps telling me that it’s not good enough
is like the guy on the mountain that throws the rock at me!
I keep trying. I can’t give up no matter what!
I am determined that I have what it takes
to make it to the top!
I know I can do it!
